Faith and Evil

Does God Exist? from keephopealive on GodTube.

The evil perpetrated on the victims in the Colorado movie theater shooting will cause some to question God's existence, and may "shake" the Faith of believing Christians.  However, some Christians victimized by James Holmes' will amazingly draw closer to God, and their Faith will be strengthened.   Regardless of the varying levels of Faith the victims' families possess, they have a long and painful road to recovery.

The simple truth is that living in a fallen world is no easy task and we have no one to blame but ourselves.  We cannot blame God for the free will actions of evil men who rejected God, just like we cannot blame God for the consequences of our own sin.  I frequently pray for the victims' families, but maybe I should be praying for James Holmes.  The actual victims he murdered who have accepted Christ are far better off than he.  The victim's families who have accepted Christ's free gift of salvation have years of pain to struggle through, but they are ultimately far better off than he.  James Holmes, along with many other non-believers, has a finite amount of time to make a decision with infinite implications.
